I dont get older people, do they enjoy being miserable?

Example: My Parents.

It's fucking hot right now, they are walking around glistening with sweat like glased pigs, snapping and barking at eachother because they are suffereing from the heat.

They have plenty of money from a long life of hard work, they have a fine airconditioner, but do they turn it on?

HELL NO SON, THAT WOULD COST LIKE 10$ A MONTH!!

I don't get this, why the fuck work hard to have a bunch of money if you are not going to use it to improve quality of life?

Me, the first sign of the slightest discomfort from heat, and my airconditioners are turned on in my whole house so fast they be spinning.
