Straight from their own website:

- Movies that have yet to be released in theaters, or which are still out in theaters, generally are not be available in the DVD format. If very recent titles are being sold on an auction or other online retail sites, they are most likely pirated.

- Even if you are hoping to get your favorite movie titles at a discount, new or used, the extremely low prices offered on some Web sites might indicate pirated product.

- missing studio, publisher, and distributor logos on discs and packaging

- In addition, if anywhere on the package it reads that the disc is an "All-Region," "0-Region," or "No Region" product, it's highly likely that the DVD is pirated.

Yep that's a great way to discourage piracy, translation:

Pirated movies can be had sooner, without spam for studios that nobody cares about, you can buy them for cheap (lol buy pirated movies? wtf), even better you can buy them used for even cheaper, and on top of that you don't have to wait for an "official" version to come out months later in your country AND you can play them anywhere you want with no restrictions.

Yeppers, let me get my wallet!
