Finally found a good danish host

Weee, finally found a good danish host that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

  • Dual opteron 2.2ghz
  • 2 gig ram
  • 160 gig harddrive
  • 100 gig monthly transfer
  • Fedora core linux
  • Remote reboot port
  • 24/7 phone support.

187$ month, I should be able to handle that after xmass.

Should be plenty to run a kickass ut3 ctf/ons server with redirect for custom maps.

Probably going to run something like daytime=ons or dm, nighttime=ctf or just multigame mapvote.

I just checked, and thier servers are hosted at Jay.net, that's where the old ut2004 server was hosted, I ping 6ms to it from dos hehe.

I just read that Lotus is back with UTComp so there's probably going to be newnet if we wanna password it and fuck around us+eurotrash for fun and games, it's good that ut3 is not so hitscan dominated because newnet was getting annoying with ut2004 being so hitscan dominated at the end for US players, it was never much of a problem for euro play because we play a lot more tight maps and not large boxes with stuff in them to break the monotomy Laughing out loud The most popular maps were things like camperscrossing, ages, DeepSprinta, not going to get for doing the hitscan hero routine on these

Any suggestions on what to run, settings, map rotation etc..?
