So I've started getting more heavily into racing sims, I'm playing a sim called iRacing and to take full advantage of this sim you need 3 monitor eyefinity. 3 x Samsung at 1920x1200 proved to be to much for my aging Q6600, my Radeon HD5970 doesn't break a sweat though.

As far as I can tell, there's no point in going to the i7 2600K, every review I've seen says there's no point and the i5 2500K is both cheaper and overclocks in some cases up to 5ghz, with 4+ ghz being perfectly stable.

Here's what I've picked:
CASE: SilverStone Fortress 2 Silver
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge
CPU Coler: Noctua NH-U12P SE2
PSU: Seasonic X-750 750W Gold (Modular)
MB: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe B3 Sandy Bridge
RAM: Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x2) XMS3

The motherboard is the B3 version, the preveious rev was the one that got recalled for some RAM error stuff. It does sata 600, USB3 and can do 3 card crossfire or sli if that's needed down the line. It's also heavily optimized for overclocking. It also has the new UEFI BIOS, that means no more 20 seconds BIOS boot crap at the startup while watching dos mode text fly by and graphical BIOS setup with mouse and lots of options like automatic overclocking. Yep, it tries all kinds of stuff and measures stability and temps, then sets it all up for you. You can even make more than one profile and have it switch to the overclocked profile when needed.

There's a great review of it here:
http://www.clunk.org.uk/reviews/asus-p8p67-deluxe-motherboard-review.htm... Check the damn UEFI BIOS, it's MASSIVE.

I've chosen a modular PSU so I only have to use the wires that's actually in use and not the normal huge 4 fists full of tangly mess, also helps with ventilation.

The Noctua NH-U12P SE2 cpu coler got some of the best reviews and looks pretty badass, huge heatsink, 2x180mm fans in a push pull config. I don't realy want to get into water cooling.

The case has a negative airflow config so it only blows outwards so no dust is sucked in. It has 6 180mm fans with dust removeable filters for each fan. It's a metal case but it's insulated to stop rattling (My wavemaster case is annoying with this) and 6 internal removeable drive bays so you can just plug new disks in/out with no screws or wires to deal with.

RAM is pretty standard, I'm thinking 4GB is plenty for a gaming system, I'm going to run win7 ultimate 64bit so I can use all 4 gigs fully.

Any faults in this config?
