Announcement lagThis has been bugging me for a while, in ctf the flag taken/returned announcements are sometimes lagging way behind, enough that in fast paced matches on smaller maps like Reflection it becomes showstopping. For example I hear someone taking my flag when I'm out getting a weapon, someone returns it and then someone immidiately takes it, I hear "flag taken, flag returned....(5 seconds pass).......flag taken" in the meantime I go "ok I still have time to go get that gun" but the "flag taken" after the last "flag returned" message comes after like 5 seconds or more so now the EFC is halfway to mid when I hear the "flag taken" announcement again, I run to base thinking he's still there, but he's in mid by now. It's entirely random, sometimes it's lagged, sometimes not, if there's voice taunts they are also lagged at random, sometimes you hear "I have have the flag" AFTER the flag is returned, completely out of order. It's not lag, my ping is like 22ms and not my machine I think (Q6600 Quadcore,8800gts,4gig ram) Am I the only one getting this? |
