It's garden time again, what ya'll got going? It's summer again and most of my stuff is going great. Started most of the stuff inside some months ago. I'm trying some new stuff this year. Tomatoes: Ananas noir, heirloom tomato that's purple, red, violet and green. Should grow huge and taste realy sweet. Great for salads. Yellow marble. Small yellow cherry tomato. Amazing producer. This one we had last year and 2 plants were producing allmost more than we could keep up with. Sweet sour taste with a hint of some kinda tropical fruit. Herbs: The old faithfulls are still here, thyme, rosemary, esdragon etc.., can't live without those for stock and most dishes. But this year I got a ton of different Basils going. Anis, citrus, cinnamon and thai basil. Also trying some new salads and as a fun experiment a plant called Stevia, it's about 20 times as sweet as sugar. Then there's the chilis. Some chocolate habanero, a couple red savina and some assorted halapenos. Last year my habaneros didn't want to kick in for some reason, but this year they are all looking good and strong, can't wait for some HEAT hehe. Ok I still have a ton of dried ones but nothing beats fresh ones for salads. __________________________ |
