State Legislation Opposing Certain Health Reforms, 2009-2010

States have an extensive and complicated shared power relationship with the federal government in regulating various aspects of the health insurance market and in enacting health reforms. As part of state-based responses to federal health reform legislation, individual members of at least 19 state legislatures are using the legislative process to seek to limit, alter or oppose selected state or federal actions, including single-payer provisions and mandates that would require purchase of insurance. In general the measures seek to make or keep health insurance optional, and allow people to purchase any type of coverage they may choose. The individual state language varies.

WTF! I thought the system was fucked up! I thought people were fed up with it and wanted change! I guess I was just hallucinating the system getting worse and worse over the past 10-15 years and really need to get off the crack-laced LSD already I guess. Are they crazy? We need serious healthcare reform and the States are now going to use their powers to fuck it up and delay it in the name of individual fucking freedoms.......not that individuals shouldn't have the freedom to fuck. Oh, wait, back on track. Anyway, why don't we just break up the US of Fucking A into 50 little fucking little ass states and then let these little fucking powerless pieces of shit have fucking fun trying to get anywhere on the world stage. I do agree to a point that States should have their own rights, but for this healthcare reform to really work it has to be universal across all States and if it isn't then it's just a farce and a huge waste of time.

I hope all the Obama supporters come out and vote this shit down, but I doubt that will happen. People will probably vote it in within all the states it comes up and vote all the little motherfucking Republicans into office to screw up the Democratic majority in both the Senate and the House and then Obama won't get shit done after Nov. 2010 and then they'll vote another fucking Republican in office (maybe fucking Palin, wouldn't that be exciting) and screw up everything Obama has been trying to do to make this country stronger nationally, internationally and to get a little face back on the world stage that we lost over the previous 8 years. No wonder why there have been totalitarian regimes in the past and present because people are fucking idiots!!! Oh, and it figures my "glorious" state, Florida, is one of the fucking 19 pricks!!!
